Wii or PS3

The PS3 has several games that are kid friendly on it's online store. Plus it's got a few good store-bought games that are for all ages. (LittleBigPlanet, MRN, etc.)

Only buy the Wii if you like play with friends often. Almost all the games are utter stuff with only one person.

I'd say the PS3 (or a Xbox 360) is a better choice if you plan on playing it often; the Wii gets old pretty fast.

If you enjoy playing with more then 4 people, go with with PS3 because the Wii's online play is complete stuff. In my opinion the Wii's graphics are also complete stuff when compared to other consoles. The Wii can only output video at 640x480 (480i) while the PS3 and Xbox 360 can output video at 1920x1080 (1080p), which is actually more then 6 times the number of pixels that the Wii outputs. Basically the Wii's graphics are FAR behind the other consoles/PC's so if you care about good graphics, DON'T get a Wii.

     Graphics don't make the game. It really depends. Mario should be unique and pretty looking, while Metroid should have good graphics. Besides, the Wii is fully capable of good graphics (Metroid Prime 3, Super Smash Bros. Brawl).

Yes they can, but not all of their games do, because of their hardware limitations but even so, most of their games output at significantly higher resolutions then the Wii. Although, some Xbox/ps3 games dont output at very high resolutions, like Modern warfare2, which on consoles only outputs at 1024x600.

     Eh. I guess you're right. I do still like the Wii though, and the games for it. Even though the only really good games on it are made by Nintendo.

pros: cheap, unique motion controls, a select few great games (mario galaxy, TP , mario kart, brawl)

cons: not so much a problem now, but earlier games expected precise movements to be detected with the wii's motion sensing (cod3, ew D:), meh graphics(if graphics actually matter to you.)


PS3-
pros: good graphics, bluray, some good games(idk, dont have a ps3)
cons:expensive and ?

While I have yet to even play a PS3 (I have one coming in the mail) I believe it'll work out better then a Wii.

I don't know how you nintendo fans keep tring to defend the wii with games they made like a year or two ago. The games they are stuffting out lately make me want to puke.
