Author Topic: DI-524 Portforwarding help.  (Read 619 times)

Hello there. I have a D-Link router of the model: "DI-524".
I have followed the official portforward instructions, but my server still turns out "Dead".
Then I tried the one on http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Dlink/DI-524/Blockland.htm Where it said I had to open a lot of ports, but as it turns out. I cant open all those port's with my router interface. I have portforwarded this router before, but I had to reset it, do i know it can be done. But if anyone could come up with a solution I would be glad.

I agree with mac, I used teamviewer and tried to forward his server, with no success :S

Make sure you are forwarding for the correct internal IP for port 28000, make sure you use the "save" or "save and reset/restart" option. Also check that your firewall is not blocking incoming/outgoing connections, I suggest setting up an exception.

I have just made a few changes, but now when I run "Dedicated" an error apeers saying: "Authentication failed: DNS error."
I checked my CMD and it said my DNS adresses where 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.0.1. Im pretty sure my server will work, once I fix this error.

Oh by the way. My DNS servers are the same as my default gateway:S

If your router supports auto DNS that is fine.

But how do I fix the error?
