Yeah you saw that correctly.

TF2, IN REAL LIFE

My friend came up with this idea a while ago, but it didn't really go anywhere, so he decided to drop it until he could work on it more. Well, he's found the time to
work on it more, and now even has a Facebook group dedicated to TF2 IRL. Just about everything in TF2 that's possible to recreate in real life is going to be included in this, such as:

  • CTFs
  • King of the Hill
  • Capture Points
  • Hostage
  • And many more to come

Currently, as far as we know, our town here in Colorado is the first and only place to do this, but we're sure we're not the first ones to think of this. We're currently trying to spread the word and get others to participate in TF2 IRL, so tell your friends about it. It's a great way to hang out with your friends, get some exercise, and enjoy the outdoors.

Please, share your thoughts on this. We're looking for any feedback/suggestions/themes to add, so please discuss!

Sentry guns- not happening, demo pipe bombs and sticky's - impossible. Air-soft or Paint-ball is your best beat.

The scout can get a real shotgun, though. Those shoot metal balls, right..? Right!?

I don't see how this is going to work without killing people.

...You're not planning on killing people, right? @_@

Well we're not using guns, silly. Paintball/airsoft, maybe, big maybe.

Of course not, but we will have sandviches.

I think playing tag would be a lot easier. Or marco-polo with paintball guns.

I prefer the latter.

Or marco-polo with paintball guns.

We did that once at a paintball game. The ref facepalm'd. But didn't stop us.

That's what we're still trying to figure out. This would probably be a warmer weather game, so we're thinking about using water guns/balloons. If we do end up doing it during the holidays we might use some sort of non-lethal gun, i.e. paintball guns. I'll post a huge list of gamemodes and rules for each one sometime this week so you guys get a more in-depth look.
