It is a very long story, but eventually i will get it all typed up.
So my mom gets a Windows XP as a hand-me-down. The people who originally owned the computer used an Embarq Home Security system that came with their internet. Now, this used to be their kids computer. They set a parental control password that kept them from installing things without their permission. But by now everyone has forgotten the parental control password (a bad mistake). Now, this computer is about 10 years old. So now I need to update my driver. Worst nightmare is now emerging in the computer, and we cant install the new driver without the dumb password. Even if I make a new user, even if I make it an admin, it still has that dumb old password. I dont know if anyone out there can help me in any way, i just wanted to get this out there.
