Argh, my brother did this in Pearl/Platinum. I had 60s and he had 100s. I always whooped him though because he though level > type.

Also, just putting this out there, there was a Rare Candy limit in the older version of Pokémon (Kanto, Jhoto, Hoenn.)
The new ones (Diamond/Pearl, Platinum,) don't have a limit. But the newest ones (Soul Silver/Heart Gold,) do.

Cant wait for those. But I heard there's pokewalker thing where when you walk, it levels a pokemon up. Sounds kinda cheap, cause kids'll just shake it.

I honestly don't think that the North America/Europe versions of Soul Silver/Heart Gold are ready yet.
The Japanese ones are really buggy. I can't get out of Bellsprout Tower without it messing up.

Actually Red and blue didn't really have one either, so long as you knew the exploit to refill them every time you ran out of the previous 99.
