I'm prett sure I'm gonna get a HDR-500V

It's a HD camera...

Dunno, maybe.

You're a tool. Christmas isn't a Christian holiday.
First of all, jokes. Second of all, it's definitely a Christian holiday, or at least it should be. It's true that Americans have essentially made it 'LOL BUY AS MUCH STUFF AS YOU CAN.' day, it's supposed to be a day when we celebrate Christ's birth.

Also, just curious, do you believe that Jesus never walked upon the earth, or do you believe that what he said about himself was false?

We know so little about the time period, so I simply do not know whether he lived or not. The myths about him are pretty obviously taken from pagan legends.

Early Christmas sucks unless you are going on vacation and need something to do on your way there... :)

As for Christmas itself, it's become so commercialized, it barely resembles what it used to mean. I hate Christmas because of this. Instead, I celebrate family traditions and take time out of the day to remember Jesus's birth and what he's done in my life and be thankful for it.

Those traditions include staying up late Christmas Eve, waking up early on Christmas morning, giving/receiving presents, playing with those presents, watching A Christmas Story from sun up to sun down (24 hour marathon), Christmas Dinner (Which happens at lunch), and spending time with family.

Oh we also open our Christmas Presents to the Yule Log

That's your opinion, and I think you are wrong.

But let's not turn this into a religion war, kthx?

What part of that is his opinion? He does not know, and it's obviously taken from pagan legends? Both are fact.

1) He does not know. That is a fact about his opinion. Edit: Not knowing is more like not having an opinion. So it's a fact about a neutral opinion.

2) obviously. That is the operative word; what's obvious to some is not obvious to others.

Person 1: Mozzarella is obviously the best pizza cheese.
Person 2: False. Parmesan is obviously better.

That isn't a good example, since anyone who knows anything about the story of christmas/pagan legends will tell you that. Sometimes obviously is just used to mean that you should know it.

You are turning it into more of a war than he is. Can't we just get into the Christmas spirit and be friends for just 4 days?

You're right, I've been accentuating this. My fault, sorry guys, back to Christmas.

I'm almost positive I'm getting a new laptop (as I've mentioned so many times now)

ASUS K50AB
 - AMD Turion X2 2.2 GHz
 - 320 GB HDD (Possibly going to upgrade to a 160 GB SSD)
 - 4 GB DDR2-800 MHz RAM
 - 15.6 inch 1366x768 screen
 - ATi Radeon HD 3200 and ATi Mobility Radeon 4570 512 MB VRAM (hybrid graphics)
 - Windows 7 Home Premium (Possibly downgrading/upgrading to Windows Vista Ultimate)

I may also get Left 4 Dead 2.

Wait, I thought everyone said us Christian Americans essentially made it 'LOL ITS JESUS BIRTHDAY.' day?

What?

Anyway, no religion arguing in this thread. PM me if you really want to talk about it.

Your example is flawed because it is based on an opinion. A better one would be:

Person 1: The Earth is obviously a sphere.
Person 2: I agree, considering all of the evidence points in that direction.
