Author Topic: Languages  (Read 2156 times)

I've become interested in them lately. Do you speak other languages? If so, how well? Known from birth, and fluent? Enough to get around the language's origin place? Just starting?

Me:
English +1 lng
French (enough to get around) +.4 lng
Japanese (forgot most, but i know a few phrases) +.001 lng

What I want to learn:
More Japanese
Na'vi (dont be mean about this one <:I)

And one last thing, DON'T SAY SPANGLISH OR PIG LATIN or any native tongue related languages.

Why not speak English English rather than English?

Oh come on tell me you didn't catch the reference :(

Nope, sorry brother. Please elaborate on this reference on which I have not heard of.

I'm trying to learn Japanese. I just got done studying kanji not 10 minutes ago. I  started only about 3 weeks ago though.

I took a few years of French, but it's been a while. The language I want to learn the most is Hindi.

Am I the only animecigarette who is not terribly interested in learning Japanese?

Lol I only became interested in Anime because it will help me learn Japanese, as well as music and movies from Japan.

I'm not terribly interested. I learned a few phrases and then forgot most. :P

Also, AWESOME, just found a word list for na'vi. http://www.suburbandestiny.com/?cat=44

The traditional way of learning a language appears broken to me. They teach you to read, write, and speak in the language at the same time. That's not how you learn your first language. You should be taught how to speak it first, and then move on to reading and writing.

I can speak English and American (:D)
