Author Topic: Game Flash drive.  (Read 936 times)

I haven't used a flash drive in a while and I was wondering if you could save a game on it then plug it onto a different computer and play it. Any answer would be appreciated.

By the way, everything that you can do on the computer, like play a game or browse the internet using Firefox or whatnot, is possible due to the memory space your computer has. That means that you can transfer nearly everything. The stuff you can't transfer are those ones that don't work when you transfer the files because its a copyright, and that if that could happen, then that program would be free everywhere.

Basically, everything is transferable, but not everything can work after transfer.

Could I download blockland onto it?

First off, only files you can find can be moved, and sometimes not even those.  But if you ever actually do what you posted, you're a dumbass.  Install the stuff or you won't get registry values.

Everything is not transferable.  If it doesn't work after the transfer, it isn't transferable.

Some games can be transferred onto flash drives and be played on other computers. There are multiple flaws though.

  • As I said, some games can be transferred onto flash drives and be played on other computers. Some games like Halo 2 PC or Sims 2 have registries in your system that are only put in when its installed, so copying and pasting the game won't move those registries to the other system and thus it won't work unless you installed it.
  • Save games are usually put in the My Documents/Documents/etc. folders, and if you don't move those save games and such won't be taken there.
  • If you do get past those two, you'll now have to worry about whether or not the computer can play the game you've made portable.

Thanks going into lock-down mode.
