Author Topic: ~Blaster~ virus findind its was into Blockland  (Read 992 times)

I have been infected by a ~Blaster~ 2 times already.
Yesterday and today. I thought I had it removed. Appearantly the virus plants onto Blockland files. One of the forum files must contain a ~Blaster~ virus. I found out it spreads like a computer worm.
Another person on the forum has been infected by a 2x2 cube.

~Blaster~ virus removal: I am not aloud to post warez nodes on this forum. Link is on wikipedia

If your infected please post a topic about it.

~Blaster~ virus has side effects. It will have a right time to do it. It shuts down in 60 seconds (1 min.)

If you have a "Sasser Virus" it is relation to the ~Blaster~ virus.

I like computers. I think it matters to be protected from viruses. What would we do without firewalls :[

Ontopic: Is this worm liable to attacking Macs?

Facts:

1. Blaster is a self perpetuating worm.  It is not distributed via infected files.
2. The Blaster worm works by exploiting a vulnerability in the RPC service.  This vulnerability was patched years ago.  If you have run windows update within the last 5 years you are fine.
3. The report of a "virus" in the 2x2 cube add-on has not been confirmed and seems unlikely.

Conclusions:

1. You are an idiot.
2. You are engaging in pointless, uninformed fear mongering.
