Do you need a heatsink for overclocking or anything? Will the stock work for your needs?

No fancy cooling needed.
I plan to have decent enough parts to not need anyh overclocking.

Here goes. I'm rather sure all of these are compatible but I threw this together pretty quick.

Case - Antec P183 Black                            - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129061

It's no beast but you didn't seem to need one. If you do need one, I'm up all night.

I use tigerdirect. Depending on which half of the USA you live in if you live in USA, you either pay no tax at tigerdirect or no tax at newegg, I pay no tax at tigerdirect so I buy comp stuff there even though I do prefer newegg. And I dunno why you prefer Nvidia GPUs, my favorite gaming card for the right price is still a 4870x2.

I use Newegg, because they ship it from their distribution center in the middle of NJ so its fast for me :D

That is a "holy stuff" GPU Liam.

Case - Antec 300 case, cases are stupid this one is cheap and good.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129066

Mobo - This mobo is solid and not super pricey, it will help you upgrade for the next few years no problem
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131404

GPU - 5870 runs colder and quieter than a 4800x2 at 1% more power, and a 4870x2 is more powerful than a 280 gtx.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102856

PSU - Power supply is SLI and crossfire like everything here, gonna be able to withstand upgrades for years to come
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371022

CPU - i5, an i5 can game just as good as an i7, don't let the clock speed fool you this thing is meant for gaming
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115215

Ram- this is where a lot of people go wrong, they want TONS of ram, gaming doesn't require lots of ram, it requires fast ram, and this ram is blazing fast.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231303

HD - Eh you just want a big one to hold your games
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136283

ROM - Prob don't even need one but here just in case, most people just reuse them between builds.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827118032

OS - windows 7 premium 64 bit OEM
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116754

And I am 100% positive everything here is compatible, especially the ram and CPU, and mobo, which are the big ones.
With crossfire you can double up on the cards.

He said gaming and no budget, and that comp is only like $1,200. My dads comp was over $3,000 self-built, yea my dad is a gamer big whoop wanna fight about it?

Yah I planned to spend about 4k
So I can use a good one.

I still have my windows copy so no need.
A single new hd, I would be hopping in the old 2 as well.
A larrrrge psu needed. For the 3 hds and likely 2 gpus. ( prefer not 3way cards.)

I know this is lame. But its not a fast process shopping this many items and browing on a phone for me
