Aye, this is one of those exceptions. There are cheaper kits I could have chosen; the choice of Corsair was merely brand preference (as I mentioned in my original post).

Notice I said to an extent, as games only utilize 2 cores and you only need like 3.0 ghz to run any game perfect, while if you had 600 mhz ram you would see some big problems, I am sorry you misunderstood something.

What? that is not true. New games do support more then 2 cores. It would be stupid to not include support for multicore processors in any modern game (i.e. Crysis, Supreme commander).
