Well so far all I've figured out how to cure it is move all my stuff to the smaller screen and turn off the monitor for a minute or two.

If your PC has stuff airflow it can. Also running two monitors does put a bit more stress on your video card. This shouldn't be a problem if you even have a high mid-range card though.

No sooner do I make a thread about how badass this monitor is that I get this unsightly band of 'forget you' running down the middle of my screen.
