Author Topic: How do you use a screenshot for your map's picture?  (Read 3445 times)

Well, I made a map, The Jumps v1, but I have no picture for it when you go to it in the Start A Game section in Blockland.  How do you insert a pic for it and write the Author and Description?

Add a txt file and name it Description.txt and put this:
Code: [Select]
Title: The Jumps
Author: Wesley Williams
Description: *insert description here*
And for the pic:
  • Take an depth of field picture.
  • Rename it TheJumps.png and put it in the folder.

Remember put a namecheck.txt in the Map_TheJumps.

Why do you need to take a DOF?

The .png must be the exact name. If it doesn't work, then I don't know what to tell you. It takes pretty much all sizes.

idk.  I'm clueless.  I'm not even sure how to add the text ;(

Why do you need to take a DOF?
I thought it was required for the pic. All the pics I use for my maps have been DOF because none of the others work.

I thought it was required for the pic. All the pics I use for my maps have been DOF because none of the others work.

I've used pictures I snagged off the internet! It doesn't need to be DOF.

the picture name has to be the same as the mission file name.
Dur.

What mapping program did you use?

You're an idiot.

Agreed.

Well I can't do it now anywho, I'm in Ohio.

However, I'm still not certain of how to insert the text, so I guess that I'm hopeless. =C

Alright well this should help. Now if you have made your map right you should be able to load it and play on it without a picture so here is what you do, go on to your map then go to options and somewhere in options it should have a thing were you can switch between .png and .jpg images when you take a screenshot. Switch it to .png it is not that already then put the image in your map folder, it should work and if it doesn't you most likely did something else wrong with your map. If you want extra help PM me your map and I can look over it see if everything is right.

And yes you have to have the picture name the same as your map name.
