How do I set up Valve hammer map editor?

What is the full name for the map making program everyone calls "Hammer"? I want to use it, but I couldn't find it on the internet, so I think that "Hammer" is just a nickname. Also, could someone provide a link to the website?

Also BTW, if you don't have the ingenuity to at least figure out how to use it, even very simply, with the MULTITUDE of tutorials online you really shouldn't be using software like that in the first place.

All I need to know is: Were do I get the textures for it. It won't let me work without them.
