Got a new PC + Windows 7

My dad built me a PC with Windows 7, and I'm really excited as what to do with it. I'm used to using a Mac so how do I check my specs, I want to see if this can run any good games.

How do you get the same amount of RAM as my 2003 Compaq Presario but almost more processing muscle than I have now?

A better processor wouldn't hurt.  I have that same thing, and now i'm upgrading to a Core 2 Quad 2.33 ghz. :D

You should Get 3 more GB, just to make sure.

Everything.  It processes most data, then graphical data is processed by the GPU.

Before you buy any ram, make sure it's compatible with your computer. I don't know how to do that, but I think there's a website that can do it.
