Trying to get a keypad to work

I got a Targus Keypad today so building would be easier because of my laptop keyboard but the darn thing won't work in Blockland. It works fine in Windows XP but when I try to map keys to it in Blockland it only comes up as 'numlock'. Any suggestions?

Open Options;
Click "Controls";
Click "Defaults>>";
Select what your keyboard settings are;
Done.
