Author Topic: Breaking News! TBM cigarettes are at it again.  (Read 51639 times)

Obviously im reffering to the group, as in the members of TBM.
If you mean, ban from life, then you'll have to kill them. That won't look good on you. D:

Go and tell those guys at GG that this is just a bunch of friends ripping off an alpha game that nobody plays anymore.

TBM are sad.
They just keep trying to steal over and over again.
Give up you twats.

and what about download to play games

First of all it's a new game called "Freebuild". We have the newest engine, and we have made enough modifications to call it a new game.

Retail is a new and improved Alpha! What's wrong with new and improved?

We are not stealing ideas from retail; we are doing things that we've been wanting to do for years, and that Eric happened to do in Retail. They were community ideas and Eric simply got to them first.

You are using old screenshots, not to mention this is our first alpha release. This means that our GUI is by no means done or as pretty as it could be, but we are getting to it. Similarly, our decals and models aren't new; most of them are the same as stuff from retail but that's because we simply haven't gotten around to it. This is our Alpha release, not the final version (not that that will change your opinions, or your insults).

We are not striving to compete with retail Blockland. Should that happen, then, very well.

Also, the game is free. We are making this in our spare time. Badspot had money to make, we don't. I am not bashing his decision, just pointing out what we've done simply to do it, rather than to make money.

Also, I did buy Retail, I do have a key. I have played. I don't have all that much against Badspot; in my experience he's been more helpful than most of the community.

Thanks to those of your, like Jellycaek, who seem to be sensible people, and won't skip to judgment on something you've never even tried.

Yes, we bought it and we have it. That's what's allowed us to do some of the things we've already done, and some things we plan on doing.

By the way, I started on RTB, not TBM. Please, at least get your primary insult correct.

What I meant was, what do you have and RTB 1.045 hasn't?

So has anyone outside your immediate development group had the chance to actually try, and critique the game? It seems very hushed up currently.

I started by playing the alpha's RTB. Elfprince13, the other developer started by playing TBM.

The first alpha is being released New Year's Day. Check out the post on the Cemetech forums about it: http://www.cemetech.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3990

Sorry about the double post but I can't find the edit button for the life of me.

As far as what we have that RTB 1.045 doesn't: A working mod system; new engine; Cemetech integration; new inventory system; faster start and less lag; "Dynload", a system of loading datablocks which greatly reduces lag and allows you to load and unload datablocks in a second. It's a generally much better datablock system.

We are working on LDraw integration (a huge parts library, and reduced lag). The website can be found here: http://www.ldraw.org/
We are also now working on (and hope to have done for the first release) a Game-Modes system which allows for mini-games, and easy, quick creation of new game modes like CTF, oddball, horde, extreme frisbee (Whatever).

Also (Where is god's name is the edit button!?), the main reason that we kept development closed, and the whole thing sort of hushed is because we didn't want THIS happening. If you don't have experience scripting then I don't think you should comment on our game. We have no interest in these shenanigans.

Again, as for the older models: Yes, they are from alpha blockland. No, we do not claim credit for them. Yes, we do aim to replace them with better looking models and decals.

Edit button was removed for Drama section.

Ah. Well that's a bit of an annoyance, eh? Oh well, I suppose that makes sense sometimes.
