tl;dr, minimum wage rant.

Buy used/retreaded tires, never drive in the rain, and drive slower.

I bought used tires for my truck, cost like 80$ total. Works perfectly fine, but I'm never driving in the rain; I have no ABS, the windows will fog, and the tires will slip.

Not like new tires will make a noticable distance in stopping distance for me though, I have old disc and drum brakes.

It could be configured like a mouse wheel kind of, where the ball is held in place but can still spin freely.
