I heard they are making a sequel which I think will ruin it, sort of like if they chose to make a new lord of the rings. They are thinking about making it a trilogy. The second one is supposed to be about him going deeper into the jungle of the planet. If they are going to make a sequel and hope they don't half ass it just to get it released.

I sure hope they don't make a sequel. The movie pretty well had a clear ending and there's nothing you can really add to it aside from something with little plot and only showing how they would naturally live with a side of rebuilding their land. Unless for some reason the military comes back and attacks again, but that would be stupid.

Prequels of what? "Ohay look were making avatars and humans are doing industrial stuff" That would pretty well be the sum of it.

And if the movie is about going deeper into the jungle, it wouldn't really make sense. Isn't everything in the jungle on their side? If they all live happily in one big forest family what would be interesting about him going into the jungle?

He was killed before he left. He was mugged by some guy looking for money. He resisted and met his end.
