Well my Assassin's creed download is going about 430KB/s right now. 86.2GB is 90,387,251KB so that means it would take 2.4 days to download everything again, assuming all downloads went back-to-back and I had an average download speed of 430KB/s.

Also, 86.2 is the size of my entire steam folder, so we also have to take in account the fact that I have so many Gmod add-ons, maps and mods along with Counter Strike maps and skins that I could never get my games 100% the way they were before.

You have to remember he is dealing with 86gb of stuff. Unless he has an external hard drive or a lot of space left, he couldn't create a backup of that stuff on his computer
