Whats funny is Pandora is an actual planet. It is however not in our solar system. From what I have read, if you look at it from Huble, it looks like a blue marble with green and white. It is 10x larger than earth so you would be crushed flat.

I thought we couldn't see that far out of our own solar system. What the hell telescope shows you a planet's colors in ANOTHER SOLAR SYSTEM. That's like, really far away.

And even if we did see it, NASA isn't going to go and name it Pandora just because some movie was made.

Hurp durp, I said planet. A solar system is a LOT larger than a planet, no stuff we see those. It's the planets that we don't see in detail, too far away, just look like bright dots.

The movies Pandorum and Avatar were made after the discovery.
So it is not named off of either of the 2 movies.
