Author Topic: I need suggestions on upcoming add-ons  (Read 1306 times)

Some of you probably know about my upcoming Food Fight add-on pack, but before that I wan't to know whether I should publish this vehicle Outdated... Working on it more

Any other add-ons I should make? Anything good/bad about the vehicle? Please let me know

EDIT: I now know about a similar vehicle to this (sorry, I didn't know); my main focus now is to make it more unique. Any decals or something?

Oh, and can somebody tell me how to make it paintable? I tried by myself and it screwed up the blender file so much I had to take my backup copy of it.

/thumbs up for the vehicle.

It's cool, but the helicopter is too box-y even though you want it that way.

The helicopter looks horrible and looks like a rip off of ArmyUnit's vehicle but worse.

Also, it's impossible to tell in pictures, but the blades in the turbo fans do actually spin. :D

(I have to admit that looks awesome)

Oh no.... This is exactly what I was looking to avoid... I don't know about his vehicle, was it even published? I searched for something like this, but couldn't find it. I guess I'll have to do something to make it more unique... Any suggestions?

@Pi: Yeah, I guess I should add lots more details. This is my first vehicle, so don't expect it to be perfect the first time I show it off. That's why I wanted to make a preview and get feedback

was it even published?

It's going to be.

Yours does look similar to mine.
You could change change the number of fans. (but you don't have to)

One main difference in yours is it can hold many passengers, while mine only holds one.

Also, I suggest you turn down the rate of fire for those missiles, because it could end up over-powered.

But you can release if you want. Mine will still be better anyways  XD

I agree.

Not trying to be a richard to the OP.
But, the model he has is quite a eye sore.

I kind alike the box-helicopter, just add some seats inside the box and I would use it.

Do you know how to correct backfaces in blender? Also, in edit mode, hit W and use the bevel tool. It is really useful. Ctrl R is also useful for diving up rectangles into multiple parts.

It going to be.

Thanks for understanding and the advice. BTW, this is (very) vaguely based off those battle helicopters in the recent movie "Avatar". I suppose I could give it four blades like the ones in the movie. The hold fire rate is decent, but clicking makes it go too fast. I'll put a cap on how fast it fires so it so it doesn't become overpowered. And I suppose I could head for a more realistic way instead of box-ish.

I have to agree. I just started modeling in Blender, you must have way more experience.
Oh, and how did lordician get ahold of your model?

He's one of my beta testers. :3

Ah. I should get one, who I could trust with the model so he could rate it by seeing more then just a picture/video

Hmm... Do you use Blender? I'm sure I can trust you with this because of this topic. Thanks! :D
