and 64.mb of vram

Well there's your problem. A lot of games nowadays require around 1-2GB of RAM to even function.

Well that's the thing. You need more ram than just the game specifies because the computer uses some as well in the background. If he got himself at least a Gig of RAM he would see an improvement in gameplay.

That general build is kind of a piece of stuff. It probably uses DDR ram and a currently uncommon socket.

I could only recommend getting a new one. Sorry!

Holy stuff, that's the same computer my mother had built in 2002, only the processor on yours is a little better.
