I've never had hardware problems; I've never switched anything and its been fine up until now.

You had two gigabytes of RAM inserted incorrectly.

????

Ouch.

All gone....Well that sucks don't it?

I hate system errors.

Take out the HD and put it in another computer

Going to do that as soon as my dad gets home from work. His computer is the only other Windows-running machine (Everything else is mac :C)

:(

Try repairing with the Vista install disk.

You should always have a back up Harddrive :D

You also could have a virus.

You also could have a virus.
I don't think viruses could destroy Msload.exe, and anyways, if it did, what was the point?

I think its just the hardware loving with his computer.
@Mack: Get that HD out and see if the files are still there.

Mac=Overpriced poo.

Never had issues with Vista, though 7 seemed a whole lot better to me.

Oh really? Never heard of any.
It's his hardware, not Vista.

Nobody complains about Leopard, or ESPECIALLY Snow Leopard (I need Snow Leopard, come to think of it) being extremely bug ridden. Macs c:
It annoys me when people say Macs have no issues. If that were true, then sites like "macfixitforums.com" wouldn't exist. Since you mentioned Leopard, let me direct you to this board. Let me highlight some threads:

"No sound on MacBook Pro 4"
"Usual, normal trash empty sound has gone away"
"Uable to rearrange files"
"Start up Problem....."
