PROTIP: BSODs are usually caused by hardware failure, not the operating system nowadays.

Nice job using Vista as a scapegoat.
I've never seen the BSoD. I even used Windows 98 for a while.

I don't get why people rage at Vista.  There is absolutely nothing wrong with it.
Consuming resources it doesn't really need.

I wonder if ending explorer.exe before I start a game will improve my performance  :cookieMonster:

You can end explorer.exe if you're already running the game. It might automatically restart, though.

If it crashes, it restarts. If you end its process it won't until you either restart, wait really long for something needing explorer.exe to start it up, or you just run it manually.

bsod is better on breasts

I got a BSoD watching corrupt research :(

My mac had something similar when this transparent screen popped up and said the computer must restart due to some error

aka: transparent screen of death?

What do you mean it was transparent? You could see the wires and crap inside the monitor?

I had a computer that was so pant-stufftingly bad and clogged w/ startup processes that I had to close explorer right when I logged in or else it would take 20-30 minutes to get to a point where I could use it.

Neve mind about it being transparent(aka you can see the windows you had open)
it looked like this
