Author Topic: Router being slow.  (Read 1230 times)

So i figured it all out, my ps3 connection is messed up because of my router. Tried plugging cords back into my modem and connecting to network 5. And it's fast again. What could be wrong with my router?

You just needed it reset.

Tried that (multiple) times.
Just gets bad after about 2 minutes or so.

This is what I would suggest, but I don't know what to say if it reverts back to being slow after you reset it, though. Reading your router's documentation/manual would be the best choice.

It says nothing about this though.

You should see the witch doctor.

I think this might be it. Every once in a while it will say local connection only. That's when it gets slow. How do I fix this. It does it on it's own.

It's overheating most likely. Just pull the plug out and if its hot then leave it unplugged for about an hour or if you have a replacement use that.

Did you get your router from your ISP and is it a modem / router combination?

If so, it might not be giving every device an IP address.

What he/she (emo pic) the person who looks like both genders said.

We had that problem at one point with our old router. So my dad took the drill and made holes in it. Don't ask why.

Air flow. Pretty obvious.

Okay, I have the same kind of issues. Except here's my deal:
It's that new Linksys N-Router, with up to 1GB of UL/DL
It's got 7 wireless computers connected to it
It's giving me like 10 KBPS without other computers actually even being on
And it's killing me
What is the problem

Oh also I've reset it twice, it shot up to 900KBPS but that's still like nothing (and then it shot right back down soon after)
