Although they don't take too much creativity to make, I made some cursors.

You can get a program to make your own here.

Some of the ones I've made and what I use them for:

Normal cursor

Working cursor

Link selecting cursor

Here's a full pack of them, I'm going to put up screenshots for them soon.

  • Busy
  • Precision Select
  • Text Select
  • Unavailable

  • Horizontal Resize
  • Diagonal Resize (both directions)
  • Move

Incomplete, but I thought I'd give you a taste.

Try it out yourself and post some of your creations.

Note: Cursors must be saved to your cursors folder (C:/Windows/cursors) to not revert to normal when you log off.

Are these window system cursors? I wouldn't use them even though they look ok mainly because there's a stuff ton more cursor variations. Resize, text-edit, and move, just to name a few.

Yep, and I'm going to try to make the other ones.

Also, you should probably package them together.

Good idea. 3 is fine, but after that it'll probably be best to do so.

What program? I use RealCursorWorld...something like that.

There was this website I recently went to, Santa was following my curser c:

I made a TF2 soldier cursor with a plugin for paint.net, and he talks when it's loading something :>

How do I install these?
I've clicked download on one cursor, but thats about it

Save it somewhere, then go to your pointer options (should be under Mouse in the Control Panel) and find the Browse button. Make sure it's a .cur or .ani file.

For whatever reason mine won't stay. Every time I power on it's the default cursors...

EDIT: It looks like you have to save it to C:/Windows/cursors to prevent this, make sure you do so.
