I can name a number of people I personally know who have turned some pretty decent profits doing some of the things this guy is doing (including myself) so it's not exactly a hard thing to get into. I'm going to ignore the large boldface font and say that we are currently starting on two new programs; one is a budgeting program and the other is a chat/IM client. The budget program will be posted when finished for trial usage.

We, in fact, got the idea to start this small business from a very good friend of ours who is leagues ahead of us in terms of experience, seeing as he has his own company and a very stable one at that. He has even said he'll give us some pointers along the road. He has a Masters in computer science from CU @ Boulder, CO.

Really, until I see some quailty samples, I'm having to somewhat agree with Pandan. Unless you can impress someone, I guarantee you won't make it anywhere.

Also, why are you wasting your time on an IM Client? There are so many successful ones used by millions or even billions that already exists. Who's going to stop using one for one that's maybe and most likely less superior than the one they already are using? An budgeting program though, I'd like to see you top something like PeachTree.
