They were becoming extremely elitist and their recruitment policy changed from "being good at building" to "whether we like you". Users were getting banned permanently for the smallest infringements and their aim was to have the most extensive banlist.

MotE died, because the lack of activity and enthusiasm. It was a pretty good run while it lasted, though, even if we did commit many mistakes and made a few bad choices.

They started dying on February 14, 2009. They were officially dead on February 16, 2009.

USSR-
Died on December 5, 2008.

They were good while they lasted. Craftsmen and NWB are MotE and USSR's replacements. I guess.
