Well I hate to say it, but while the logo is rather striking it appears to consist of little more than text, fog effect, and an Apophysis background (though correct me if I'm wrong). Surely you have a better example of your design prowess that you could use as a logo? :) Unless you don't mean it to be indicative of what you are striving for and merely want a cool looking logo for the clan, in which case it serves its purpose perfectly.
The latter of what you said is the logo's purpose. It's actually one of my better ones, even though it didn't take very long at all to make. I just want it to look cool, basically. And no, it doesn't contain an Apophysis background, lol, just a cool little swirly thing I messed around with using the pen tool.
Cuc, that is pretty good for your first time with GIMP. Daedalus, I like the blood effect a lot, however, and there is no energy on this, but the clan isn't just about cool text effects. Sure that's nice, but it gets a little old after a while. So, I'd much rather see you two have a try at some abstract or practical designs. I don't really care if you use tutorials for things you don't know how to create, as long as you can also make stuff on your own without having to use a tutorial.
