4r-3 x 2r2

I need to simplify this as review, but the process escapes me. If someone could solve it step-by-step, that would of great help to me for solving the rest of the problems. Thanks.

8r^(-1)

Also, It has to end in a positive exponent.

4r-3 x 2r2
(4)(r-3)(2)(r2)
Collect terms
(4x2)(r-3xr2)
When multiplying variables with exponents you add the exponents together.
8r-1
r-1 is the inverse of r, that is r-1= 1/r
So
8(1/r)
8/r

I have one, but it doesn't matter because I don't know the process.

Also, please solve them step-by-step.[/s]

Thanks Otis.
