So far, my favorite Droid phone is the HTC Eris, it is awesome and I <3 it.

Seriously, the interface is clean, it has cool HTC additions to Android, it's on Verizon, it's got a great virtual keyboard and it's awesome.

The only caveat is a slow processor and no physical keyboard, if you're into those.

Also it's only $100.

After having the G1, and the mytouch, the droid Eris is nothing new for me.

With the exception of the G1 which has a physical keyboard, the following phones are basically same because they're all made by the same company: Droid Eris, MyTouch 3G, Nexus One, Hero and Tattoo.

Why did you spend 500$ on a phone? I have a 10$ Tracfone, and it works just as fine. I have a Zune for all the other gimmicks, at half the price of one of the overpriced phones.

Lordy, having a phone is 18x different than a Zune or iPod Touch.

I don't even have any games besides the default ones on my Eris, it just doesn't make sense to have gimmicky stuff on my phone.

Exactly. I'd be tempted to put gimmicks (aka games) on my phone if I wasted the money, play them, run out of batteries, and be stuck with a 500$ paper weight all day long.

I hate my Moto em330 because the battery will die in a normal day's use (read: never using it aside from occasionally checking the time) if I don't charge it all night.

Aside from that it's a really nice flip phone. Smartphones don't really appeal to me that much but I wouldn't complain if someone gave me one.

I don't even use my computer for anything but gaming anymore thx to my droid.

I don't get why people bitch about batteries; as long as my battery doesn't die halfway through the day after a full night's charge, I really couldn't care how long the battery lasts. I don't get why it's such a bitching point for people to just put the charger on overnight.

The nexus has it I think, then the others updated software to have it that day.
I got java as well. There isn't a thing I can't view/play/stream on my droid.

I even got n64 and ps1 games I play with a wiimote bluetoothed to my phone.
Word and excell I have and can print from.
