Author Topic: Computer slow as hell; Need new Power Supply.  (Read 1418 times)

Does anybody know where we can get a new power supply?
My current one is a 180W, but I need a 300W for my 250 GTX.
A 250W or higher would work great.
I can't really find one anywhere, but my dad has a Newegg subscription, so if you could check there..
Anyway, it either has to fit a slimline computer OR be an external power supply.

Wtf is with newegg...

I see no use for it, as all my computer parts are hot-glued into place.

Ontopic: Im sure dell sells some cheap ones.

We can't help you without knowing a few things.
First, we need your general specs so we know if it's worth it.
We also need the dimensions of your case so we can choose a PSU  that will fit. Pictures might help too.

Also, you don't want to get a 300w PSU. They're pretty much outdated right now so I would recommed a 400w or greater.

I don't even think a GTS 250 could even run a 300w PSU.
It's probably being bottlenecked by over 50% with a 180w PSU.

Get 500 watts.

Also, make sure it has 18 amps on the 12 volt rail.

Wait how did you manage to fit a GTS250 in a slim case...

I loving hate you so much. You're so damn ignorant.

For the PSU, my 250 GTS box suggests 450w.

Ow big words hurt my head. I'm a stupid person so I buy a computer based on screen size, ram (I could always upgrade it) processor rating and graphic card.

Ps: they stopped making that Sony vaio I wanted
