I hope you two realise that not all dogs are like that. I'm willing to bet those two dogs are male.

What is this?

People like you believe that movie characters are real.

I think my dog think it's a cat.

This is literally my reaction to this thread:

All you people saying "OGM PUT THOS DOGES DOWN" and "THIS R WHY DOG IS STUPID" need to realize that both dogs and cats are natural predators. Ever watch a dog chase a squirrel around the yard? Do you even think about what the dog might do if it caught the squirrel? Or how about this, Ever seen cats killing and bringing mice and rabbits and other small animals to your door and leaving them there? Those could very well be someone's pet. Yeah, it sucks that the cat died and yes that dog needs to be taught restraint, but boo hoo, stuff happens, it just happened to you.
Also:
Cats can't cry.

This happened to my cat. I had two cats, Cassy and Jazzy (Don't ask about the names, I was 7 when I made them up). One day the neighbor's three dogs broke loose in the back field of our house. They found Jazzy, and killed her. For the next three months my other cat, Cassy, would end up staring out a window into the field and rippid out her fur. This wasn't normal for her, so I knew it was because Jazzy had been killed.

This.

I hope you three realize that it's purely dependent on how the dog was raised. I've owned around 7 dogs in my time, all of which were either german Shepards, rottweilers, or  pitbulls. They've all been very friendly towards other animals, and the like; Because we take care of our dogs. We take them for walks, so they can get used to the environment and other animals, we give them attention, and all the rest of it.

They've never killed or harmed another animal, apart from a bit of rough and tumble play with eachother. So again, don't blame the dog - blame the people who raised it.

Sorry it had to happen :(
