an average prebuilt laptop from best buy i need to cost about 1k
not even needing anything more powerful then that as i wont be attempting any gaming on it.

but my custom gaming desktop has to be a minimum 2.5k new (tower)

people can game pretty well on a 800 dollar custom though.

If you really want a good computer not to break, don't overclock without knowing exactly what you're doing. You need good cooling if you want any more than +.2 GHz with that processor.
