Alright, so earlier today me and my Dad went ice fishing, there was surprisingly nobody else on the lake. So we drill about six holes in the ice, put up our tip-ups and wait. Each tip-up was about 25-30 feet away from each other, so when the first tip-up signaled that there was a fish, it was sort of a sore to get to it, but we did and I was able to get the first one, which was a northern and was the largest catch of the day, at a whopping 28" 6lbs :D

So we proceeded to catch six more northerns, my Dad caught two more and two sunfish and I caught my limit for the day, so that was awesome.

So, did any of you go Ice Fishing this year?

That is awesome.

I've always wanted to go Ice Fishing

It's pretty fun, if you ever have the chance you should take it.

Ah, Ice fishing... I have some great memories from ice fishing. :D
It's fun!

I have a phobia of falling through the ice. -_-

Temperate zones suck, the ice is never thick enough to stand on.

pusillanimous individual, real men jump into the frigid water with a knife and stab those forgeters to death.

I got to hand carve a jigging stick from a chunk of oak and man was that thing good for catching fish. However my brother broke it some time ago and I'm still cross at him for that.

I used to go icefishing when I was little.  It is pretty fun, I probably enjoyed seeing the water beneath the ice more than the actual fishing part, though.
