Author Topic: Blockland crashing computer, yet again  (Read 2363 times)

Now I'm certain that this is a problem with Blockland, not my computer. I reinstalled Windows XP a while back thus removing everything on my computer. And Blockland still does this.

I literally disabled everything except Blockland and this still happens. Everything from firewall to MSN, even explorer.exe. This is a problem with Blockland.

Okay now this is really making the game unplayable. I just crashed my tenth time in six hours. I crash on my own online server with default add-ons and map. I crash on others servers as well. I will test single player soon.

Quadruple post yay. It happens in single player too. With default add-ons in Bedroom. It's like someone would pull out the power cord of my computer. There is no Windows turning off screen or anything. One second its working and them BAM! It turns off and my monitor displays that little text box "Monitor going to sleep" like it always does when I turn of my computer.

I got a trace log from the time of crashing. Be prepared the log is 50mb. I had following add-ons enabled: RTB, Duplicator and Creeper gamemode. I was in single player.

Now that I started, I might as well continue with a hextuple post. I do not crash at other's servers. Only when I am hosting.

Not ideal - how the hell'd you get a 50mb console log?

~1h of playing with trace on.

This topic needs more of me. BUMP. I really want to host.

I just crashed on someone elses server, but it does happen less of often than on my server

Okay, now I'm 100% sure that this problem has absolutely nothing to do with add-ons. Here's what I did. If you need more info, please ask.

  • I uninstalled Blockland thus removing everything.
  • I installed Blockland again. (Not default location)
  • I did not add any add-ons or anything else. It is a fresh install of Blockland.
  • Opened Blockland and adjusted some settings. I've had these settings for months. (Resolution and graphics quality, nothing else.)
  • Changed my name and clan tag, but not avatar style.
  • Started an online server with default settings, with password, at Bedroom.
  • Once I spawned a moved a little bit and put trace on from the in game console.
  • Then I waited for ~40 minutes
  • Computer crashed. (Turned off in one second, no Windows log off screen or anything. It's like someone pulled the power cord off my computer.)

Console log.

Okay.
Here's what ya do.
Uninstall blockland.
Re-Install with no Add-ons.
There you go.

Try this.
New netbook.
Tip: Netbooks are for simple computing, not gaming.
