Author Topic: What the forget is a deathclaw?  (Read 8292 times)

If you played the other two you'd know.

Well, he was my first companion. Lol, I spent ages saving up those 1000 caps for him. Plus, I was obviously Evil at this moment in time, and I hadn't been to Paradise Falls to get the slave girl companion.
Also, I had yet to go into Underworld, so no charon. Dogmeat was waiting for me in Megaton. :3
Charon is horrible, I fought off 4 giant radscorpians and he got killed by a regular little radscorpian. I tried to lug him around as a human shield but some raider chick chopped his arm off... bitch.

All of the followers are loving autistic. The only one I've ever used was RL-3 as a pack mule.

I used Fawkes most of the time after I met him but after a while I lost him. I didn't tell him to wait for me or anything but one day when I was up to my neck with ghouls I realized that there was no gatling laser going off. Searching high and low in the wastes I never found him and after I completely forgot about Fawkes a message pops up saying he's returned to the museum. How odd

Had any of you played fallout 1 or 2 you'd know what death claws are and where they came from.

Try to remember that you've been playing fallout 3

It's amazing how many people forget that.

find leather belt and wonder glue for a melee weapon
Do you need the schematics for it?

Fallout history for people who ignored 1&2 and skipped of to fo3:The death claw a mutated creature that came from world war 3. It was considered a hoax to many. When the vault dweller encountered a fleeing carvan guard in the waste he talked about a beast that could be shot at by a rifle and still live. When the Dweller arrived at Bone Hub he/she kept hearing about reports of this creature. The dweller recieved a job from the Fargo Traders to find out what was happening to there carvans. It turned out the death claw was real, but it there was another force behindthe disapeering carvans. Deathclaws can be found in boneyard.

In fallout 2 death claws became more common. The enclave even expirmented on them and gave them the ability to talk. They were friendlier to humans. They took refuge in vault 13.

In fo: tactics death claws move into the colder climated and become hairy deathclaws.

I allways found Charon to be a reasonably fine companion (compared to Jerich, and god forbid, Butch). He never really required much lookng after, once he was equipped with Enclave Power Armour (of any kind) and was better when equipped with T5-1B Armour. Eventually though I decided that Fawkes was better, and the karma change was worth it. Although, once I got both of the perks that enable you to gain money for killing good/bad humans, Fawkes proved a nuisance. With his Special Gatling Laser, he would kill most human enemies way too fast compared to me, meaning I wouldn't recieve the Ears/Fingers from their bodies, so I couldn't sell them for more money.

I've been followerless since then, partl because all the other follwers were crap compared to Fawkes and I just couldn't work with Fawkes, and partly due to some unfortuante incident that occured after installing "Broken Steel" and "Point lookout" and then going to Point lookout, which ended up with me not being able to get my followers to join me anymore, since they all claimed that I allready had a follower with me even though I didn't. This meant I couldn't get them to join me or retrieve the items I had left with them without having to attempt pickpocketing them. This means Im now stripped of a fair few decent and special weapons that I would really like back. It's a shame Im playing on the xBox  version, meaning I can't just use console commands/cheats to give me back my followed and items. It's a shame too, since I'm so far through in the game, having practically every achievment minus the Karma~level ones. I've completed every other quest and collected every single special weapon. As well as having visited every place and completed all 5 of the Add-Ons. Oh well. :/

DeathClaws are very difficult to destroy.

I found this town that had like 20 death claws in it. I used 32 of my 56 stimpaks
Isn't that town in the north west

I made a Deathclaw Gauntlet :D

Jericho

Jericho is cool cause of his unlimited ammo, Too bad i beat fallout 3 at lvl 14 (as you can see i am lazy) Without DLC
