Author Topic: Can't see tops of bricks?  (Read 724 times)

My bf recently bought/downloaded the game, but he can't see the tops of any bricks.  When he walks around them, he can still see all the sides, but from the top it goes completely through.

His drivers are up to date and he's using the very same computer I played this game on a few years ago.  The video card is a Raedon x1300/x1500.  Anyone know why this could be happening?

You can fix this problem temporarily by opening your console (press the ~ key) and typing the following:

Code: [Select]
flushtexturecache();

If it happens continually, take a look at this topic and see if that helps.

wrongo, flushtexturecache(); won't fix it, http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=85473.0

It fixes it temporarily.
i thought this was a whole different problem? the flushing textures fixing the spiking polygons, not missing brick tops or players

No, I've found it also fixes missing brick parts, but I've never tried it with missing player parts because I've never had that issue.

Neither of these things worked, still can't see tops of bricks.

Please post a console log.

can u see the side of the player torso

Try going in advanced options and disabling vertex buffer objects.
