Just tried it, didn't work.
I just looked at the task manager. It doesn't seem to be using all of the CPU. Any way to remedy this? (My Dad's a software engineer, and he knows a lot about computers. He tried everything he could think of and none of it worked.)

Nope. Portal works fine, SPORE works fine (although it has been giving me trouble recently) and Battlefield 1942/2 work fine. I think it's the processor.

Yeah you are right about your processor. I have no idea why you would have a Pentium 4 processor paired with an 8800 GT, its just MASSIVELY bottlenecking the graphics card. If you are using a "newer" Pentium 4 cpu that uses the LGA 775 socket then you are in luck, you can upgrade your cpu to a newer dual or quad core cpu. If not, then you cannot upgrade your cpu to anything better.
