Author Topic: Is Avatar a rip off?  (Read 2527 times)

The main points of the story are the same but not the details.

That

By the way, some people also criticized that the movie was based off a story by two Russians. The story had the same planet, not same name, but same ideas and landscape, and there were the aliens with tails too, just different named. However, that story also had different tribes, and there was not much warring going on.

Ripoff? The two authors said no, its not one. Also, whoever made the movie (I forgot), also said that he didn't steal it from the book, but what does his words mean when he made the movie?

Discus.

Dances with blue cat people.
Got to it well before me. lmao Kevin Costner must be heaving his guts out. "Dumb...bear?" No it's Dunbar! Dun...Bar. "Dumb Bear!" *cheesy grin*

Do any of you realise Pocahontas was a 1995 film, and the script of Avatar began in 1994?  :cookieMonster:

This, I was the first to point this out last thread :/ People are just too stupid to realise.

I require proof of this.
The story for avatar was written a long time ago, they just diddn't have the technology to make floating mountains, entire tribes of 8 foot tall blue cat people, along with some other things.

I think it's much more similar to "Dances with the wolves".

Proof
