Author Topic: Version 14  (Read 39011 times)

Like someone said earlier.
Will port forwarding still benefit your connection and crap?
I think everyone is forced to do the matchmaker.

How do I disable the tank turret for my servers? I do not see it in the vehicle list.

I think it's with the tank.

i am scared o the servers to come of this...

It turns out the tank turret is within the pirate cannon's zip which sucks. Now I cannot have a Pirate themed fort wars.

Version 14 is up.

The main new feature is that port forwarding should no longer be necessary.

Give it a try.

=OOOOOOOOOOOO

So what does Blockland do to make my server work?

For those of you who are still wondering how hosting without port forwarding is done: Badspot just made blockland have UPnP which is a network protocol that allows programs to automatically tell your router to forward the correct ports. I suggested this a while back (2 months ago), I wonder if badspot got the idea from my suggestion...

This is exactly like seeing a problem and giving up right away.

Wow a handful of servers, great job Badspot. :)

However a search/favorites feature would be icing on the cake.

*Edit: I wonder why blockland's UPnP entry in my router is named "libminiupnpc"

I created a server. Please Badspot, can you take a look at it?

I also did the pingMatchMakerLoop(); in the console.

How am I supposed to disable it?

Interesting.
Now I have no clue why there was a "MATCHMAKER 74.52.20.186:29000" in the authentication packet.
