What is the max amount of colors you can put in a color set, and is it possible to make it bigger?

It's limited to that amount because it takes large amounts of datablocks for the spray can tools, particles, projectiles and explosion effects.

However if we used a system (as suggested by chrono) that didn't change the color of the spray can, we could have unlimited colors which would be nice.
