Ping "---"?

I've seen a few servers with "---" as the ping.

What is this?

It means their server was unable to be pinged but you may be able to join.

I have another question, to anyone who may know: What is a punch packet and how many do you need to load to be able to enter a server?

I personally hate when you have to use punch packets, just try joining and be patient and sometimes it works...
