Who loves lucid dreaming? I <3 it. For those who don't know what it is, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucid_dream

I never have those :(

Last night I dreamt that I was dreaming and I had a lucid dream while dreaming inside the dream but lost it when I woke up from the dream inside the dream :C

I never have those :(
There are tons of strategies on how to get one, I'll go get the guide to lucid dreaming off of 420chan and post it

I had a rather pleasing one before.

I love them so much. I haven't had dreams in a while that I can remember, much less a lucid one, but unusually I have dream-initiated lucid dream. I've only had wake-initiated lucid dream a few times.

EDIT: Noone posted, I tried posting, 3 posts slipped in.

I've had one once, around new years.

It felt so weird once I woke up, I could of sworn it was real. Everything seemed so naturalistic. I was sitting in a grassy field on a farm a few minutes away from my house with a friend. We were talking then decided to go for a walk, we continued talking. My friend was pretty out of character, who would of known they knew about Pavlov's Dog?

All right, here's the guide.

Alright, here's my personal how-to guide on Lucid Dreaming:

While you may read this or that about eating certain foods or taking certain drugs, the truth is, you can lucid dream just fine without them. However, certain drugs may ENHANCE the experience, so you should definitely ask around /dr/ to find out more if you wish to optimize your lucid dreaming.

There are three BASIC parts to lucid dreaming:

    1) REMEMBER your dreams
    2) RECOGNIZE when you are in a dream.
    3) CONTROL that dream.

REMEMBERING your dreams can be tough for some people. I find that in periods of high stress, I barely dreamt. However, this can be EASILY REMEDIED. KEEP A DREAM JOURNAL. You might ask, "What good is a dream journal if I can't remember my dreams in the first place?". The thing is, keeping a dream journal by your bed WILL help you remember your dreams. You'll be thinking about recording the dream that you hope to have that night, and it WILL help. I hadn't remembered my dreams for about 3 months. Then, I bought a dream journal and had at least one dream every night after that. Also, please post any ESPECIALLY interesting dreams on /dr/, because we all want to hear your cool stories.

How I kept my dream journals:

    Date (night before-morning after)
Dream (recorded the events of the dream IN FULL DETAIL. SPARE NOTHING. It will take a while to record EVERY little event and detail, but it IS worth it)
brown townysis (Why I think I dreamt what I did. This is totally optional, but I like to do it.)

RECOGNIZING when you are in a dream can be difficult at first, but once you form the habit of reality-checking, you will usually be able to recognize when you are dreaming.

Reality-checking is exactly what it sounds like. Simply get in to the habit of regularly checking to see if you are in a dream. There are many good methods of doing this. I will list a few. If you feel that these do not work for you, ask /dr/ for some other methods:

    1) Count your fingers/toes. In a dream, you will often have more or less than five fingers/toes on each hand/foot.
    2) Try to push your finger through your palm. It might feel rubbery, or you may even be able to push your finger through your hand in a dream!
    3) Write an "A" (for awake) on the back of your hand and check it often. In the dream, you may not have an A, the A may be a different letter or symbol, or you may see the A and remember to question if you are awake or not.
    4) Check a clock. Then, look away and look back. Does the new time make sense? In a dream, clocks often change erratically.
    5) Buttons/switches will often malfunction or not function at all in a dream. Flip a light switch, press the INDIGLO button on your watch.
    6) Mirrors -- beware! Risky! Mirrors will often give a distorted view or no view at all in a dream. HOWEVER, I do NOT recommend doing this as your reality check, because what you see in a mirror may be frightening and wake you up.

    CONTROLLING your dreams:

This can be tough. Not everyone can forget a hot woman on their first try. You have to take baby steps, and get accustomed to controlling your dreams before you can do big things like that. You have to try simple stuff. Once you get comfortable with the simple stuff, you can start doing some CRAZEEE SHIIIIT.

    Simple stuff:

    1) Jump farther/higher than you normally do. It helps to flail your arms around while doing this. You might even be able to fly! But, for simplicity's sake, just try to jump.
    2) Run faster than you normally do.

Intermediate (do this once you can do the simple stuff with NO problems):
    1) Fly (HELL YEAH). Just jump really high and wave your arms around until you can fly.
    2) Gliding. Lean forward and glide in that direction while otherwise standing still.
    3) Color trails. Put your hands in the air and wave them around while making rainbow trails follow them.
    4) forget stuff up. Break some stuff. Do NOT punch or kick, as these are often INCREDIBLY weak in dreams. Instead, flick a piece of furniture and watch it shatter into a million pieces!

Hard (once you are adept at the intermediate stuff, try this):
    1) forget a hot woman. Whether it's your high-school crush, a hot teacher, or an actress, or whatever, tell yourself that they will be standing behind you, turn around, and get to the forgetan'
    2) TRANSCEND REEEEAAAALIIIITEEEEEE. Tell yourself that there is a marker in your pocket. Take out the marker. Draw a hole on a wall or floor. Jump through the hole and see where you land!
    3) Blow stuff up... WITH YOUR MIND! Self-explanatory.

    Lucid-dreaming done easily:

One of my favorite techniques for lucid dreaming is the Wake-Back-To-Bed method. WBTB is when you wake up, fall asleep again, and dream. It is MUCH easier to lucid dream this way.

    How to WBTB:
    1) Set your alarm for an hour earlier (do this on the weekends, or when you don't have to work, whenever that may be)
    2) Get up, do your morning routine (beat off morning wood, brush teeth, shower)
    3) Go somewhere where you do not NORMALLY fall asleep (don't go back to your bed; go lay down on the couch or doze off in the armchair)
    4) Go to sleep while thinking about what you'd like to dream about.

You will most likely dream. The only tough part about this is that you may not remember that you are dreaming.

My biggest tip is to hold on to your consciousness while doing this. Let your body rest, but your mind should remain active while you are drifting off.

Hope these techniques work for you. Keep dreaming, dreamers!

    Love,
the guy who suggested this board in the first place.

All right, here's the guide.
That sounds like the best loving video game ever.

All right, here's the guide.

I'll try this tonight and tell you lads what happened tomorrow, its a long term thing this is so I might just make a whole new thread.

My favorite, its kinda like MS paint adventures

I am so going to try to do that.

Usually when I realise that I am dreaming I tell my self to wake up. :c

Well, I had this one dream where I was naked and everyone else was naked and there were these hobos throwing apples at each other and if one is hit they like go berserk and explode. I simply refused to throw an apple and went through a wall, I found myself in a hall with the tiles replaced with tall grass. I went outside(if I was in a building or something)then grabbed two pistols and blew up everything in my way, then I randomly teleported on top of the water. I was walking on the water, with like cop-cars on the water too and deformed cops. I threw the cops really high and made them squish

I usually have the DILD kind.
