Author Topic: Tips For V14  (Read 2689 times)

Hello every one I've long awaited making a server and i never could until v14. And i still couldn't make a server but today i found out something. i noticed if you have the 28000 port already forwarded but not correctly  The UPnP notes in the console 28000 is being used or something along the lines and it then cancels the connection. I had old port forwarded yet it wasn't working "blockland-28000" on my router so I removed it.. My server now Works

Ah I never thought about that.

You are most likely correct. People may have forwarded port 28000 to the wrong IP, and thus, upnp will not work for that port.

I never thought of that!

I'll try removing it now, thanks.

Take it off completely.
Yea chrono is right. You must have 28000 open.

I've removed that and still no help and upnp is enabled I unset my static ip to see if that would help worked last night but did nothing now.

Hey, I have a problem. No one cna connect to my server! I've installed V14, but still, no one can connect! I'm not one of those guys who understands all the router and port things, so anyone have a simple solution?

Start blockland in a diffrent screen and see if you can connect to your own server if you can there is nothing wrong if you cant, If you have McAfee start it go to Internet & Network- Then Configure on the right hand box- Then Where it says Firewall protection  is enabled- Click Advanced- Then On he left side click Program permissions- Scroll down till you see Blockland- Click on it Then Allow Access and apply. If that doesn't work your router has something to do with it which i can't really help you with

That's bullstuff, Because you're on the same network and will connect through LAN, No forwarded ports or UPnP are necessary
