I tell him it's because it's what everyone has.

When I say that, I mean that I don't host my own Servers, I don't make the Death Matches, so I join others. I USE THEM, BECAUSE THAT'S ALL I CAN USE, WHEN THESE WEAPONS ARE ALL THAT SPAWN.

I'm trying to make a TDM without using T+T. A good one too. However it's getting harder to balance all the weapons out since they're made by different people. The reason people use T+T so much is because it is already balance, all the weapons have the same design scheme and are easy to use.

T+T is popular because of how well it works overall. The weapons look good, work good, and are balanced out with all of the rest of them. This makes T+T easy to use rather than a bunch of misc. add-ons that you have to search for and somehow balance all out along with how good they look.

That's more like overpowered destruction to everyone rather than balanced tactical weapons.

Probably not. I'd anticipate you'd get a few seconds of batstuff killing, and then it would become unusable.
