The gun performs fine, it's just that it uses the subsonic 9x39mm cartridge, and being subsonic and all it's only got an effective range of about 300-400m because of how slow the bullet's going. With the surpressor and GP-30, it pretty much covers every special operation the russians could want that an AN-94 won't cover.

The ammo still works, but you just have to have a full inventory in order to pick up the ammo in the minigame. I think it is because of the "Enable Ammo" script within Rotondo's Zombies.
