It was in his Budget Plan. He rather buy a Correctional Facility in Illinois.

Theres nothing out there anyway, and Japan officially won the space race.

Nothing?

LOL

Nothing?

LOL
Nothing that the US can reach, but that's beside the point. Japan won.

He canceled the continuation of the moon landing but not everything, he's announcing a new goal.  They needed another 9 billion or something and thought they wouldn't get there until 2030.

The national socialists already made it, why don't we just go to Germany and find their ships?

This just leaves NASA open to be bought by a private company/person and do something awesome like get the first moon colony named after them.

Also I don't like this personally. Spaceflight has always been something that has inspired and gives hope to Americans and has been from the beginning. According to this, Obama hates hope.

Seriously, not cool Obama. I understand budget cuts but jeeze. The space program? Why not get rid of that healthcare thing.

Russia touched the breaches of space first, or the Soviet Union. It was Russia.

Well, its all pointless. Japan is officially building a space elevator. That will reduce costs by thousands per kilo and also stop blowing holes in the atmosphere whenever we want to get something up there.
It will also allow Japan to control the commercial aspects of practical space travel for many years.

Since they have actually allocated funding for its construction, its fair to say that this is a thing we will see in our lifetimes.

As well as the above, there is always the Virgin Blue space program, that is commercial travel in space.
Space just costs too much to reach, surely its fair to say that he can reallocate funds until America recovers financially.

forget Obama.

forget OBAMA.

he cut it down to 18billion, compared to last years 19billion.

big deal

and how did japan win? russia won, followed closely by the US, then japan and china like 50 years later lol

They are doing that?

That will definately need lots of materials

I'm wondering. Obama proposed a 3.83 Trillion dollar budget, as opposed to what? For me to be amazed in this at all, I think it's important to know what the budget was under Bush.

and even if it's a trillion in budget cuts, the difference in 3.83 and 4.83 isn't that impressive to me; they're both exorbitant amounts of money that are hard for me to comprehend.
