Author Topic: I have a virus (Read 1402 times)

Help guys! I have a virus on my computer that won't allow me to use any application, this includes the defaults like IE. I have tried going into task manager but it won't allow me to, i've tried booting into safe mode and the same problem occurs. I can't peform system restore aswell. It also won't let me remove it through the add/remove panel. I have no virus remover on my computer and can't install one either. What do you guys think I should do?

System Restore hardly ever fixes anything and is generally a waste of time.

What specifically happens when you try to install antivirus software?

The most I can think of is to buy a new computer and download a virus protector.

Whatever computer you are using, use to download an AV and bring it to the infected computer with a USB drive or blank cd.

If you do use a usb drive though, format it once you're done.

lol anti virus software. all it encourages people to do is be stupid on the net thinking they are safe.

common sense = best defense.
i don't even use anti virus/spyware, or firewalls.

never had a virus in 10 years.

i killed like 3 computer with viruses. i was 8 back then though
i've had this computer for like 2 years and not a virus on it.

I have never had a computer rendering virus in my entire life.
But my brother has had a couple, because he's stupid when it comes to internet common sense.
